Festive Muhurat Announced: Best Timings for Dhanteras, Hanuman Jayanti, and Diwali 2025
Renowned astrologer Acharya Rakesh Tiwari from Ayodhya has announced the auspicious timings (muhurat) for the upcoming Hindu festivals: Dhanteras, Hanuman Jayanti, and Diwali.
- Dhanteras: 18 October 2025 (Saturday)
According to Acharya Tiwari, the Trayodashi tithi will begin at 1:20 PM, marking the start of Dhanteras celebrations. Evening hours are ideal for worshipping Lord Dhanvantari, especially for performing traditional puja and abhishek rituals aimed at health and prosperity.
- Hanuman Jayanti: 19 October 2025 (Sunday)
This year’s Hanuman Jayanti will be observed during a powerful Mesha Lagna (Aries Ascendant), which holds special significance. The most favorable time for worship is from 5:12 PM to 6:51 PM. Devotees are encouraged to perform Hanuman Puja and Abhishek during this window to gain strength and protection.
- Diwali & Lakshmi Puja: 20 October 2025 (Monday)
While there was confusion over the Diwali date, Acharya Tiwari has clarified that the festival must be celebrated on Amavasya, which begins at 2:30 PM on 20 October. The Vrishabha Lagna (Taurus Ascendant), occurring from 6:51 PM to 8:48 PM, is considered the most auspicious time for Lakshmi Puja.
He emphasizes that there should be no doubt—Diwali 2025 should be celebrated on 20 October during the specified muhurat for maximum spiritual and material blessings.
