Bihar Elections 2025: NDA Finalizes Seat-Sharing Deal, Few Seats Remain in Discussion

The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) appears close to finalizing its seat-sharing arrangement for the upcoming Bihar Assembly Elections 2025. According to insider sources, consensus has been reached on 235 out of the total 243 seats, with discussions still ongoing for the remaining 8.

Each coalition partner is pushing for a few additional seats, leading to a strategic tug-of-war. As per the current arrangement, Janata Dal (United) may contest 102 seats, Bharatiya Janata Party 101, Lok Janshakti Party 24, while both HAM and Upendra Kushwaha’s party are expected to receive 8 seats each.

However, if leaders like Jitan Ram Manjhi and Upendra Kushwaha stick to their demands, BJP and JDU are reportedly considering surrendering one seat each to maintain alliance harmony.

The likely final distribution may look like this:
JDU – 101, BJP – 100, LJP – 27 or 28, HAM – 7 or 8, Kushwaha – 6 or 7.

This near-finalized formula reflects NDA's strategy to enter the electoral battlefield with unity and balanced representation among its allies.
