Congress and BJP Announce Star Campaigners for Bihar Elections

With the first phase of the Bihar Assembly Elections 2025 approaching, both Congress and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) have released the names of their star campaigners. Each party has nominated 40 high-profile leaders to take charge of their respective election campaigns, setting the tone for an intense electoral contest.

On the Congress side, the campaign will be led by senior leaders like KC Venugopal, Ashok Gehlot, Sachin Pilot, Randeep Surjewala, Kanhaiya Kumar, Pawan Khera, and Pappu Yadav. The list also includes former Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar, youth leaders like Alka Lamba and Jignesh Mevani, indicating a strategic mix of experience and youth appeal.

The BJP, meanwhile, is banking heavily on its top leadership. The party’s star campaigners include Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP President JP Nadda, UP CM Yogi Adityanath, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari. Additionally, the list features state-level heavyweights and popular Bhojpuri actors such as Pawan Singh, Manoj Tiwari, Ravi Kishan, and Dinesh Lal Yadav ‘Nirahua’, who have a strong fan following in Bihar.

Political analysts believe that this election will hinge heavily on these campaigners' ability to connect with voters, as shifting alliances and voter sentiments make this race more unpredictable than previous ones.

The coming weeks will reveal how much of an impact these personalities can make on the ground – but one thing is clear: both national parties are leaving no stone unturned.
