Chandigarh, Haryana – In a tragic development, senior IPS officer Y Puran Singh from Haryana has reportedly died by suicide. According to early reports, Singh left behind a detailed note, in which he expressed deep frustration over alleged professional harassment and discrimination by top officials in the state administration.
The suicide note, which has surfaced as part of the ongoing investigation, reportedly mentions a senior Director General of Police (DGP) along with six IPS officers and two IAS officers. In the note, Singh accuses them of persistent discrimination, creating a toxic and demoralizing work environment.
Sources indicate that Singh also left behind a legally binding will, transferring all his property, financial assets, and personal belongings to his wife. Authorities are verifying the authenticity of the will and reviewing the note for legal and procedural follow-up.
