Tata Capital IPO Sees 1.96x Subscription; Allotment Status To Be Released Today

New Delhi – Tata Capital Limited’s ₹15,512 crore initial public offering (IPO), one of the largest this year, closed on October 8 with a strong investor response. The IPO was subscribed 1.96 times, receiving bids for 65.19 crore shares against the offer size of 33.34 crore shares.

Breaking down the investor categories:

Retail Investors: 1.10x subscribed

Non-Institutional Investors (NIIs): 1.98x

Qualified Institutional Buyers (QIBs): 3.42x

The price band was set between ₹310 and ₹326 per share. All eyes are now on the allotment status, which is scheduled for October 9, while the listing is expected on October 13 on both BSE and NSE.

However, the Grey Market Premium (GMP) for Tata Capital has seen a steady drop. From an initial ₹30 premium, it fell to ₹20 on October 2, and now trades at just ₹3.5. This suggests a possible listing at around ₹329.5, only 1.07% above the upper price band. Experts caution that GMP is highly volatile and may change based on market sentiment.
