Yogi Adityanath’s Two-Day Varanasi Tour: Emphasizing Cleanliness, Women Empowerment, and Agricultural Progress

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath embarked on a significant two-day visit to Varanasi on Monday, focusing on pivotal issues such as cleanliness, women’s empowerment, and agricultural development. The CM was warmly received at Babatpur Airport by administrative officials and BJP leaders, marking the start of a comprehensive agenda centered around sustainable progress and social welfare.

The visit commenced at the Shri Annapurna Rishikul Brahmacharyashram Sanskrit College, where CM Yogi distributed sewing machines to 250 women and laptops to 15 meritorious students. This initiative underscores the government’s commitment to fostering self-reliance among women and encouraging educational excellence.

Following this, the Chief Minister attended the Sanitation Workers’ Appreciation Ceremony at Saroj Palace, Pipilani Katra. Here, approximately 400 sanitation workers were honored with cleanliness kits. CM Yogi praised their essential role in the state’s ongoing cleanliness mission, referring to sanitation workers as the backbone of this campaign.

The next highlight of the tour was the CM’s participation in the three-day “Direct Seeded Rice (DSR) Conclave-2025” at the International Rice Research Institute (ISARC) located in Chandpur, Varanasi. Discussions at the conclave focused on critical themes such as food security, climate resilience, and environmental conservation. Additionally, CM Yogi inaugurated a special session commemorating the 150th anniversary of the Uttar Pradesh Agriculture Department, where strategic plans to position UP as a global food supplier by 2030 were deliberated.

In a spiritual touch to his visit, CM Yogi offered prayers at the revered Kashi Vishwanath and Kal Bhairav temples, reflecting the city’s cultural and religious heritage. The day concluded with a review meeting on development projects and law and order at the Circuit House. CM Yogi spent the night in Varanasi, continuing his engagement with the city’s progress agenda.

This visit reiterates the state government’s holistic approach to combining social welfare, cultural values, and sustainable development, reinforcing Uttar Pradesh’s journey toward a prosperous future.
