A major fire broke out late Monday night at a plastic manufacturing factory located in Udyog Vihar, Ecotech-3 area of Greater Noida. The facility reportedly produced pipes and packaging materials for beverages like Frooti.

Fire Spread Within Minutes

Eyewitnesses say the fire escalated within minutes, turning the entire factory into a blazing inferno. The rapid spread was fueled by the highly flammable plastic and chemical-based materials stored inside. Thick smoke and intense flames engulfed the multi-story building, creating panic in the industrial area.

Over 15 Fire Tenders Rushed to the Spot

Soon after receiving the alert, more than 15 fire tenders from Greater Noida, Noida, Dadri, and Surajpur were dispatched to the scene. Senior fire officials, including the Chief Fire Officer (CFO), were present and led the firefighting and rescue efforts.

The fire had spread from the basement to the top floor, making it difficult for personnel to gain control quickly. Officials stated that completely extinguishing the fire could take several more hours due to the deep penetration of flames and ongoing chemical combustion.

No Casualties, Area Evacuated

Fortunately, no casualties or injuries have been reported so far. Local police and administration teams evacuated surrounding buildings as a safety measure, preventing any loss of life.

Cause Under Investigation

Although the exact cause of the fire has not been officially confirmed, initial investigations suggest a short circuit could be responsible. Authorities are maintaining tight surveillance on the situation, and updates are expected as the investigation progresses.
