Squadron Leader Shivangi Singh of the Indian Air Force has reached a significant milestone by becoming a Qualified Flying Instructor (QFI). She received this distinguished badge during the valedictory ceremony of the 159th QFI course held on October 9, 2025, at the Air Force Station Tambaram in Tamil Nadu. The event was graced by Air Marshal Tejbir Singh as the chief guest, with a total of 59 officers receiving the honor.
Recently, there were false propaganda campaigns circulating from Pakistan targeting Shivangi Singh. However, the Indian Air Force put these rumors to rest by officially releasing her photograph and confirming her QFI status.
Shivangi Singh holds the distinction of being India’s first female pilot to fly the Rafale fighter jet. She has served with the Golden Arrow Squadron based in Ambala and played a crucial role in Operation Sindur, where the Indian Air Force effectively countered provocative aerial moves from Pakistan.
As a Qualified Flying Instructor, Shivangi Singh will now train the next generation of fighter pilots. Her achievement is not only a proud moment for the Air Force but also an inspiring example for young women aspiring to serve in combat roles within the military.
