Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh – In a shocking turn of events, the owner of Sressn Pharma, Ranganath, was arrested late last night in connection with the distribution of a cold syrup that allegedly caused the deaths of at least 20 children across Madhya Pradesh.

Ranganath was initially presented before a court in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Following legal procedures, he was taken into custody by the Madhya Pradesh Police under the supervision of SP Ajay Pandey. His arrest is linked to the widespread use of a syrup branded as Colddriff, which was distributed on a large scale in several regions of Madhya Pradesh.

Local reports indicate that the syrup, allegedly manufactured by Sressn Pharma, led to severe illness in children who consumed it. Tragically, at least 20 children have lost their lives, sparking widespread outrage and grief among families and communities.

In response to the crisis, the government has issued a strict advisory: no child should be administered any medication or syrup without a doctor’s prescription. Health authorities have also initiated a broader investigation into pharmaceutical safety and distribution standards across the region.

Parents of the affected children are demanding justice and accountability, calling for stronger regulations and oversight in the manufacturing and distribution of pediatric medications.
